My dear mother passed away at 93 years old on April 19, 2019. Liz and I decided to drive to the funeral which was set for April 27 in Provo, Utah. We left on April 24th and stayed the night in Tucumcari, NM. The second night we drove to Moab, UT and stayed with Liz's sister Anna Maria. April 26 we drove to Provo where we stayed in an Airbnb. Family gathered from all over the country for Mom's funeral and it was a celebration of a life well lived. My Mom was a wonderful mother and I will miss her. She lived a long and full life. It was also wonderful to see siblings and relatives that we hadn't seen for a long time.
The day after the funeral we drove up to Bear Lake for a raspberry shake. On Monday we headed home by way of Ephraim, UT which took us over a beautiful snow-covered mountain pass.
On Tuesday we stopped at the Pueblo of Acoma near Albuquerque, NM. This Pueblo is one of the oldest continuously occupied communities in the U.S. and the pueblo is maintained in it's original state with the native Indians living in the original adobe houses.

That night we stayed the night at an Airbnb in Albuquerque and drove home the following day. My mother lived a good life and I loved her. I was particularly grateful that we were able to discover her birth parents the year before she passed away. Her adoptive parents were Warren LeRoy Lindsay and Mary Christina Anderson Lindsay and her birth parents were Alma Folkerson and Florence Fern Clawson. Thank you mother for a lifetime of amazing memories.
